World leaders have criticized US President Donald Trump’s decision to impose new tariffs on all goods entering the US as a "major blow" to the world economy. The European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen said it will cause "uncertainty spiral" and "dire consequences for millions of people around the globe". Several countries, including China, have expressed their opposition to the move and warned they will take countermeasures against the US.
