Migrants who used the Biden-era CBP One app to enter the US have been ordered to leave "immediately." Over 900,000 people were allowed into the country since January 2023 under a presidential authority called parole, which authorized them to work in the US for up to two years. The Department of Homeland Security issued termination notices to beneficiaries and urged them to voluntarily self-deport using the same app, now renamed CBP Home. Those who refuse to leave will be charged $998 per day until they depart, according to DHS.
