King Charles III

King of England

King Charles III, born Charles Philip Arthur George on November 14, 1948, became King of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms on September 8, 2022, following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. As the longest-serving heir apparent in British history, he spent decades advocating for environmental sustainability, architecture, and charitable causes through initiatives like The Prince’s Trust. His reign marks a shift towards modernization while maintaining royal traditions. Known for his outspoken views on climate change and urban planning, Charles III continues to navigate the monarchy’s role in a rapidly evolving world.

Royal Family Marks Easter with Church Service and Sermons

King Charles III and Queen Camilla attended an Easter Sunday church service at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, joined by several members of the Royal Family, including Princess Anne and Prince Andrew. The King and Queen did not attend last year's service due to Catherine, Princess of Wales' cancer diagnosis, which is now in remission. The Archbishop of York will deliver the Easter sermon at York Minster today, replacing the traditional message from The Archbishop of Canterbury who resigned in November following controversy over his handling of a child abuse case.
