His leadership was instrumental in forcing the 2016 Brexit referendum, which resulted in a vote to leave the EU, significantly altering the course of British politics.
Nigel Farage pranked with Putin banner during speech

Nigel Farage was caught off guard during a campaign rally when a banner featuring a smiling Vladimir Putin descended behind him live on stage. The Reform UK leader reacted by asking, “Who put that up there?” and said someone at the venue should “get the sack” after the banner—planted by activist group Led By Donkeys—slowly dropped from the ceiling as he addressed the audience. The poster showed the Russian president grinning and giving a thumbs-up, with the phrase “I ❤️ Nigel” boldly displayed across the bottom.
