Prince Andrew

Member of the British royal family

Prince Andrew, Duke of York, born in 1960, is the second son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Once second in line to the British throne, he now ranks eighth. A former Royal Navy officer, Andrew served as a helicopter pilot during the Falklands War. He married Sarah Ferguson in 1986, with whom he has two daughters, but they divorced in 1996. In 2019, Andrew stepped back from royal duties amid allegations of sexual abuse by Virginia Giuffre, which he denied. The case was settled in 2022, with Andrew reportedly paying a significant sum to Giuffre's victims' charity. Following the scandal, he lost his military titles, patronages, and public royal roles. By 2024, it was reported that King Charles III planned to stop funding Andrew’s security, and he faced financial troubles, including a debt linked to a Swiss chalet. His ties to controversial figures, such as Chinese businessman Chris Yang, further isolated him. As of 2025, Andrew remains out of the public eye with no plans for a return to royal duties.

Prince Andrew's Ex Sparks Outrage with Vile Post About Virginia Giuffre After Her Suicide

  • Saturday, 26 April 2025

Lady Victoria Hervey, ex-girlfriend of Prince Andrew, sparked outrage by posting "When lies catch up to you there's no way out" after learning of Virginia Giuffre’s suicide. Ms. Giuffre was a prominent accuser of convicted sex offenders Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, who claimed she was trafficked to the Duke of York when she was 17. Lady Victoria also posted "I have taken the decision to pause my posts on Virginia Giuffre at this time. Irrespective of the circumstances, suicide in anyone at any time is tragic, and in a young mother who has children, even more so."
