Sajjad Karim, a Conservative MEP for the North West, reported that a group of 30-40 people carrying English Defence League (EDL) banners protested outside his Lancashire home on Saturday lunchtime. The protesters allegedly wanted to intimidate him, his wife, and young daughter, who are Muslim. The EDL had not commented on the incident as of the report.
