The English Defence League plans to hold a "static" protest in Tower Hamlets, east London on Saturday despite a 30-day ban on marching imposed by Home Secretary Theresa May. The Metropolitan Police have banned marches in six London boroughs due to concerns of violence and clashes with opposition groups, with over 3,000 officers available to ensure public safety.
