Barefoot Protester Brings Parliament to Standstill with Big Ben Climb

A barefoot pro-Palestine protester climbed Big Ben's Elizabeth Tower at 7:24am, waving a Palestinian flag and chanting "Free, free Palestine." The incident caused an emergency response, shutting down Westminster Bridge and canceling Parliament tours. The protester live-streamed the event, showing his bloodied feet as he continued to climb.

Liz Truss left the stage at an event to promote her own book after she was targeted by campaigners joking about the lettuce that outlasted her time in Downing Street.
The former prime minister was speaking in Suffolk on Tuesday in support of her memoir Ten Years to Save the West when the event was ambushed with a remote-controlled banner. King's Carrot Concert: Monarch Plays Unlikely Instrument at Windsor Castle Reception

The King played a carrot recorder at Windsor Castle during a reception for community music leaders. Lucy Revis, director of Sheffield Music School and Tracks project, described it as "surreal" when she turned around to see the King playing the instrument. The event was attended by 350 guests, including leaders of community music groups, and featured instruments from the London Vegetable Orchestra.
