Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen announced he would travel to El Salvador to free 29-year-old Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland resident accused by the Trump administration of being a criminal. Van Hollen vowed to discuss Garcia's release with President Bukele and stated that if he didn't hear back by mid-week, he would travel to El Salvador to "check on his condition and discuss his release."
