US President Donald Trump signed an executive order targeting the Smithsonian Institution, aiming to eliminate "improper, divisive, or anti-American ideology" from its museums, centers, and National Zoo. The order directs Vice-President JD Vance to lead a purge of exhibits and programs that "divide Americans by race" and singles out specific museums, including the American Women's History Museum and the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
