Scammers Pose as Parking Attendants in New £1,300 Fraud

Fraudsters have been targeting motorists at car parks in Leicestershire by posing as parking attendants. Victims are guided to specific machines and asked to insert their bank cards and verbally "register" their PINs, allowing the fraudsters to access the victims' money. Three cases were reported in the past six weeks, with victims being elderly and vulnerable. The police urge people to be cautious and not enter their cards into the machine if unsure about the attendant's identity or if they are asked to verify their PIN.
