Politicians and technology go together like dial-up internet and Zoom calls. Every time a new app drops, half of them think it’s a sandwich and the other half want to ban it just to be safe. Their latest crusade? Banning encryption — because apparently, privacy is suspicious now. You'd think they'd at least Google what encryption is before trying to outlaw it, but then again, half of them still think "the cloud" is something you fly through to get to a committee hearing. Honestly, if they had their way, we’d all be sending emails by carrier pigeon, but with a government-approved tracking chip strapped to its leg — for “national security,” of course.
