Trump Tariff Threat: West Midlands Car Industry Faces Devastating Blow

According to Professor David Bailey, the West Midlands would be the UK region most severely impacted by Trump’s 25% import tariff on cars and parts going to the US. The region is home to major car manufacturers such as Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and Aston Martin, which have significant exports to the US market. One in four JLR cars are currently sent to the US, making it a significant problem for the industry.
