Politicians talking about art is like a cat reviewing jazz: confused, unimpressed, but acting like they get it. They’ll praise a painting they just Googled, quote Shakespeare wrong, and claim budget cuts somehow “support the arts.” And when they commission statues of themselves? They always end up looking like melted candles with a superiority complex.
Trump Unveils Another Self-Portrait at White House: This Time, Next to Clinton's Portrait

President Donald Trump has hung another self-portrait in the White House, this time next to Hillary Clinton’s picture from her time as first lady, just outside the East Wing where First Lady Melania Trump has her offices. The painting is a close-up of Trump's face with the American flag imposed over his steely glare. Unlike the previous self-portrait, this one did not displace any existing painting, instead being placed between portraits of Clinton and Laura Bush.
