The Fine Art of Political Nonsense

Politicians talking about art is like a cat reviewing jazz: confused, unimpressed, but acting like they get it. They’ll praise a painting they just Googled, quote Shakespeare wrong, and claim budget cuts somehow “support the arts.” And when they commission statues of themselves? They always end up looking like melted candles with a superiority complex.

Busking Banned in Leicester Square: Council Suspends Street Performances Amid Nuisance Concerns

Westminster City Council has suspended busking performances at two pitches in Leicester Square due to a court ruling that ordered the council to stop the "nuisance" caused by buskers. The suspension, which takes effect from April 17 until further notice, applies to both licensed and unlicensed performers, and those who flout the rules may face fines or other penalties. The decision comes after an abatement order was issued against the council by the City of London Magistrates' Court on March 26, prompting the council to explore its grounds for appeal and revise its busking and street entertainment licensing regime.
