Politicians talking about art is like a cat reviewing jazz: confused, unimpressed, but acting like they get it. They’ll praise a painting they just Googled, quote Shakespeare wrong, and claim budget cuts somehow “support the arts.” And when they commission statues of themselves? They always end up looking like melted candles with a superiority complex.

King's Carrot Concert: Monarch Plays Unlikely Instrument at Windsor Castle Reception

The King played a carrot recorder at Windsor Castle during a reception for community music leaders. Lucy Revis, director of Sheffield Music School and Tracks project, described it as "surreal" when she turned around to see the King playing the instrument. The event was attended by 350 guests, including leaders of community music groups, and featured instruments from the London Vegetable Orchestra.
