Autumn Cordellionè, a transgender prisoner serving 55 years for murdering her stepdaughter, is suing President Donald Trump alleging he is responsible for sexual assaults she experienced while incarcerated at Westville Correctional Facility (WCA) in Indiana. According to her handwritten complaint, she was assaulted and raped multiple times after transitioning while in jail, with inmates allegedly emboldened by Trump's "transphobic and extremist rhetoric."

HMP Parc in Bridgend, South Wales, a prison once praised for being safe and well-run, has declined into a drug-infested nightmare where 17 inmates died in a year. The descent began after G4S took over the contract to operate and maintain the prison in 2022, resulting in a severe influx of drugs bought in by drones through open windows. The report highlights that 57% of prisoners said it was easy to source illegal drugs and 34% reported developing a drug or alcohol problem since arriving.

A murder investigation has been launched after John Mansfield, a convicted killer serving a life sentence at HMP Whitemoor, was found dead. Mansfield had previously pleaded guilty to murdering his neighbor, Ann Alfanso, and was given a minimum 30-year sentence. He also received a second life term in 2014 for stabbing another prisoner with a broken plate. An inmate, aged 44, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Hashem Abedi, serving life for helping his brother plot the Manchester Arena bombing, attacked three prison officers at HMP Frankland with cooking oil and makeshift weapons. The officers received life-threatening injuries, including burns, scalds, and stab wounds, when Abedi threw hot oil over them before using the homemade weapons to slash at them.
